The Mediation & Training Collaborative, a program of Community Action based in Greenfield, MA, is seeking an energetic, compassionate team player with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills for a part-time (25 hrs/wk) position handling divorce and family mediation inquiries, case management and related office administrative tasks. Must have high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of office management, case management or related experience. Previous training and experience with mediation, other conflict resolution approaches and collaborative practices strongly preferred. Basic Mediation Training required within one year of employment. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience, or additional directly related experience may be substituted for education. Bilingual, bicultural applicants encouraged. ENERGY TECHNICIAN 2

Community Action’s Energy program is seeking a full-time Energy Technician 2. This position will conduct energy audits for income eligible clients both in single family and multi-family buildings and various other projects encompassing energy technical support throughout Franklin and Hampshire Counties (occasionally in Hampden and Berkshire counties).

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, green building, engineering or related field required. Associates degree in related field and 3 years’ experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s. 2 yrs experience with heating systems and BPI building analyst or equivalent required.

Candidates should have a knowledge of building codes, building design, building diagnostics and building instruction including inherent problems associated with older & multi-family homes. Knowledge of solar gains and losses, heating system design and testing, VOCs & how to mitigate mold/mildew, etc. Proficient computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills needed. Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic diversity and the needs of individuals with low incomes.

Large Head Start Program seeks an experienced and enthusiastic early childhood leader for our full day/full year site in Turner’s Falls, MA.  The ESS provides overall administration of a 2 classroom EEC licensed and NAEYC accredited site. The successful candidate must have the demonstrated ability to develop authentic and professional relationships with children, families and staff, will display excellent leadership, organizational and collaboration skills, and a have demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated and fast paced environment. Minimum qualifications include a BA in Early Childhood Education or directly related field with early education and supervisory experience.  Must be EEC LT Preschool and Director II certified.  Salary Range is $18.32 - $19.85, 37.5 hours/week full year. Community Action’s Parent-Child Development Center is currently seeking substitute bus drivers, to safely transport PCDC children ages 3-5 to part day/ part year sites in Westfield and Ware.  Substitute Pay rate: $12.00 per hour.  School year operations run early September through end of May.

SUBSTITUTE BUS MONITOR

Community Action’s Parent-Child Development Center is seeking substitute Bus Monitors in Amherst, Northampton, Orange, Turners Falls, Ware and Westfield. Bus Monitors assist infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on and off the school bus. Bus routes run 1 ½ - 3 hrs during the early mornings, midday, and late afternoons. Must be able to engage children in positive social behaviors; assist children to their seats and secure them safely; safely unload children and release to their authorized adult; work cooperatively with the driver, staff, and parents; and maintain a professional and positive attitude. All applicants must be at least 18 yrs. old and have reliable transportation to meet the bus. Prospective employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and successfully pass a background check, plus submit a current physical. CPR and First Aid certified preferred. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. $11.20/hour. Training will be provided.

A Head Start Preschool is looking for a reliable individual with a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years cooking experience. Must be Serv-Safe certified. Kitchens are in Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden Co. This individual must have flexibility in schedule and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.  Job will include all aspects of cooking/serving and cleanup.   Pay rate is $12/hour.  Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory Early Education & Care Background Record Check (BRC) investigation.
