Full-time position in a dynamic non-profit multi-service agency. Community Action seeks an energetic, highly organized individual with excellent customer service skills to manage our Center for Self-Reliance food pantries in Greenfield and Shelburne Falls.   Coordinate and oversee all aspects of program operations at food pantry’s two locations including but not limited to:  supervising staff and volunteers; managing inventory and program budget; and, oversight of daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a BA in a human services field;  3 years human service supervisory experience; and 2 years experience with program coordination, food insecurity and/or nutrition. Must have excellent skills in time management, written communication, the ability to work independently and as a team member, and sensitivity to the needs of people with low incomes, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to lift 50 pounds. BUSINESS OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Responsible for assisting the Director of Business Operations with a variety of tasks related to child care subsidy enrollments. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on monitoring parent fee activities to ensure maximum revenue collections and compliance with EEC Financial Assistance regulations; A/R reporting related to parent fees activities; issue fiscal terminations for non-payment of fees, enter attendance for EEC billing, assist with family reassessments and other administrative tasks.

The Business Operations Assistant must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word, have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, be comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline driven environment, and have the ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Be or quickly become knowledgeable and remain current with: Massachusetts Early Education and Care (EEC) Financial Assistance rules and regulations, policy guides, memos and other communications as they pertain to PCDC operations, PCDC enrollment processes, and Community Action fiscal policies, procedures and systems.

SUBSTITUTE BUS MONITOR

Community Action’s Parent-Child Development Center is seeking substitute Bus Monitors in Amherst, Northampton, Orange, Turners Falls, Ware and Westfield. Bus Monitors assist infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on and off the school bus. Bus routes run 1 ½ - 3 hrs during the early mornings, midday, and late afternoons. Must be able to engage children in positive social behaviors; assist children to their seats and secure them safely; safely unload children and release to their authorized adult; work cooperatively with the driver, staff, and parents; and maintain a professional and positive attitude. All applicants must be at least 18 yrs. old and have reliable transportation to meet the bus. Prospective employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and successfully pass a background check, plus submit a current physical. CPR and First Aid certified preferred. Seeking energetic, organized, self-motivated individuals to help us launch a new program putting 75-100 youth from Ware, Turners Falls, and Orange to work this summer, giving them the tools and on-the-job training to successfully enter the workforce! Must be highly reliable, able to work well independently and as part of a team. Access to reliable car required. CORI and Safe driving record/ability to be insured under Community Action policy required. Bilingual (Spanish) applicants encouraged. 

Summer Program Specialists: (6 temporary summer positions: 2 ea. in Ware, Turners Falls, and Orange; Staff may be invited to apply for related year round positions in Fall.) Work one-on-one with teens supporting successful completion of summer internships and development of post-internship goals. Provide job readiness training, and ongoing coaching to overcome barriers.
