Special Update from Community Action Pioneer Valley's WIC Program about Farmers Market Coupons
Be sure to like & follow them for more updatesIt's that time of year to reserve your Farmers' Market coupons! We have finalized our Farmers' Market coupon distribution times for each of our sites. You must call the WIC office to reserve your coupons. You can leave us a message with your contact information to reserve. Coupons will not be available to those who have not reserved them ahead of time. More information for each site can be found below:
Greenfield participants: We are distributing coupons on Saturday, July 20th from 9 am to 12 pm at the Greenfield Farmers' Market located at Court Square in Greenfield. Call (413)376-1160 to reserve your coupons. You may leave a message if you do not get in touch with someone.
Northampton participants: We will be distributing coupons on TWO DAYS (your choice!) - Wednesday, July 24th from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Florence Farmers' Market located in the parking lot of the Florence Civic Center. We will also be distributing on Sunday, July 28th from 10 am to 1:30 pm at the Easthampton Farmers’ Market located in the Municipal Lot at 50 Payson Avenue. Call (413)387-1244 to reserve your coupons. You may leave a message if you do not get in touch with someone.
Orange participants: We will be distributing coupons on Thursday, August 1st from 3 pm to 6:00 pm at the Orange Farmers' Market located at the Armory Building on 135 East Main Street in Orange. Call (978)544-8093 to reserve your coupons. You may leave a message if you do not get in touch with someone.
Amherst/Belchertown participants: We will be distributing coupons on Saturday, August 3rd from 9 am to 12:00 pm at the WIC office located at 1200 N. Pleasant Street in Amherst. Call 413-548-1285 to reserve your coupons. You may leave a message if you do not get in touch with someone.
**You MUST be an active participant in order to be eligible and you MUST call the WIC office to reserve your coupons. Coupons will NOT be available to those who have not reserved them ahead of time.**

🌧 7/9 Special Update🌧
Due to rain this morning, we will not have playgroup in the park.
Please join us at the Family Center today in the playroom 10-11am and today is also Family Lunch 11:45 that will be prepared by our Family Support Worker Tania!

We have heard the interest and feedback and are excited to offer a Pop Up Dad's Playgroup Monday July 15th 10-11am! Free Playgroup, snack provided! Our school liaison will also available for one on one questions and support.

WHAT WE DO
- We can connect you to needed resources and support you in achieving your goals.
- You can meet with a staff person to get help for your family or your child who is struggling at home or in school.
- We offer playgroups with stories, songs and activities to build early literacy skills.
- You can join classes or groups to connect to others and build parenting skills.
- We use a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
All our programs are free and open to all families.
WHO CAN VISIT THE FAMILY CENTER?
Any family can visit the Family Center and participate in our services and programs.
SCHOOL READINESS & EARLY LITERACY
We offer several playgroups for you and your young children to enjoy together. Have fun in our playroom!
You can learn more about your child’s development and ways to help support your child’s early learning.
We provide ParentChild+, a Kindergarten readiness program in your own home, for 2- & 3-year-olds in Greenfield and Turners Falls.
PARENTING SKILLS & SUPPORT
We offer support groups for new parents, parents of toddlers, grandparents, and Spanish-speaking parents.
Join in to build connections around the challenges and joys of parenting. We offer parent education classes to support you to be the parent you want to be.
OUR STAFF CAN HELP YOU GET WHAT YOU NEED
Family Center staff will work with you to connect you to the resources you need. We offer specific services for your family if you have children who are:
- frequently absent from school
- have serious problems at school or at home
- are being exploited
FREE CLOTHES AND DIAPERS!
You are welcome to check out our Community Closet for free clothing and infant care items and you can pick up diapers every month.
FAMILY FUN
We offer game nights, storytime, and other ways to have fun together!

Call 413-475-1555 to ask about any program or make an appointment to meet with a staff member.
All services and programs are free. When families visit us for the first time, we ask that you fill out an enrollment form to help us learn about your family and needs. We do not require any verification documents and do not have an eligibility requirement to receive family support.

HOW DO I CONNECT SOMEONE ELSE WITH THE FAMILY CENTER?
If you know someone who might like our programs, you can send them our fliers, show them our Facebook page, and invite them to one of our events. You can also have them call us to talk about what they need or are looking for.
